WELCOME...

In 2005, The Charlie Sears Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation, was formed to keep hope alive for Charlie, his family, and other families of police officers or firefighters faced with the diagnosis of brain cancer.  The foundation now exists to continue Charlie's legacy of love, humor and courage. To ultimately provide hope, support and financial assistance to law enforcement officers and firefighters battling brain tumors or malignant brain cancer.

Inspired by retired Los Angeles Police Detective Charlie Sears' strength and courage, it is our organization's  mission to provide financial assistance, physician referral and advocacy services to those law enforcement officers and firefighters diagnosed with brain cancer.  We strive to be the first non-profit organization founded to assist law enforcement officers and firefighters facing this devastating disease.

It is our goal to assist officers or firefighters in finding the most current treatments offered in the field of Neurology.  Our Medical Adviser, Dr. Christopher Duma of the Brain & Spine Surgeons of Orange County, is one of the leading Neurosurgeons in Orange County.  Please take a look at his website www.cduma.com to learn more about the cutting edge treatments he offers to patients diagnosed with brain tumors.

Our Board of Directors consists of retired law enforcement officers and other working members of the community.  With the involvement of these individuals, we are working toward building our PD & Fire Assistance fund so that we may continue to provide assistance to any sworn police officer or firefighter who is diagnosed with this life-changing disease.

For details on how you or your organization can help, please see our Events and How to Help pages.  Or plan on joining us at our next exciting fundraising event!

More information to come.
